Cancellation & Non-attendance Policy

If you are unable to attend your appointment please give no less than 24 hours' notice and you will not be charged. If you give less than 24 hours’ notice of cancellation the full fee will be payable. If you fail to attend a session without notice, the full fee is payable.

Your Health

During the consultation process it is important that you inform us of any significant past or present medical or psychological conditions as these may affect your suitability for treatment. Please seek advice from your GP or consultant if you are unsure or have any concerns. It is also important that you advise us of any significant changes in your health in any future sessions you book with us.

If you have a contagious or infectious condition or have been around anyone with these conditions please do not book an appointment with us until you are well.

Treatment Protocol

Please arrive on time for your session. For new clients please allow enough time to complete the consultation form before your scheduled appointment time (5-10 minutes prior).
If you arrive late we cannot guarantee that you will be able to receive the full treatment time as we may have another appointment due to start after your scheduled appointment is due to finish. If this is the case, the full fee will still be payable.

It is important that you give us your feedback during your treatment to let us know if anything is too painful or uncomfortable or if the treatment is not what you were expecting. With this feedback we will be able to adapt or change the treatment so that you are satisfied with the outcome.

We reserve the right to terminate a session in the event of abusive or inappropriate behaviour.

Gift Vouchers and Massage Packages

Payment is to be made in advance by bank transfer. On receipt of payment your Gift Voucher/Massage Package Gift Voucher will be emailed to you or the person you are gifting it to. A receipt of payment can be issued on request. The Gift Voucher will need to be presented either as a printed copy or on a mobile phone before the treatment commences. Please ensure that the Voucher or Package is redeemed before the expiry date. No refunds will be given.

(Why we collect your personal data and what we do with it)

When you supply your personal details to this massage practice they are stored and processed for four reasons (the sections in bold are the relevant terms used in the Data protection Act 2018, which includes the General Data Protection Regulation):

1. We need to collect personal information about your health in order to provide you with the best possible treatment. Your requesting treatment and our agreement to provide that care constitutes a contract. You can, of course, refuse to provide the information, but if you were to do so we would not be able to provide treatment.

2. We have a Legitimate Interest in collecting that information, because without it we couldn’t do our job effectively and safely.

3. We also think that it is important that we can contact you in order to confirm your appointments with us or to update you on matters related to your medical care. This again constitutes Legitimate Interest, but this time it is your legitimate interest.

4. Provided we have your Consent, we may occasionally send you general health information, practice updates and offers in the form of articles, advice or newsletters. You may withdraw this consent at any time – just let us know by any convenient method.

We have a Legal Obligation to retain your records for 7 years after your most recent appointment (or age 25, if this is longer), but after this period you can ask us to delete your records if you wish. Otherwise, we may retain your records indefinitely in order that we can provide you with the best possible care should you need to see us at some future date.

Your medical records are securely stored and all electronic data (your name, email address and telephone number) is password-protected and only accessible by authorised individuals. All reasonable steps have been taken to prevent unauthorised persons having access to the data.

We will never share your data with anyone who does not need access without your written consent. Only the following people will have routine access to your data:

  • Your practitioner in order that they can provide you with treatment, co-ordinate appointments and reminders
  • for our online booking (but they do not have access to your medical history or sensitive personal information). is GDPR compliant. You can read more on it’s privacy policy here
  • Mailchimp to coordinate our messages, so your name and email address may be saved on their server.
    • You have the right to see what personal data of yours we hold, and you can also ask us to correct any factual errors. Provided the legal minimum period has elapsed, you can also ask us to erase your records.

We want you to be absolutely confident that we are treating your personal data responsibly, and that we are doing everything we can to make sure that the only people who can access that data have a genuine need to do so.

If you feel that we are mishandling your personal data in some way, you have the right to complain. Complaints need to be sent to the Data Controller. Here are the details you need for that:

      Cheryl Pierre
      [email protected]

If you are not satisfied with our response, then you have the right to raise the matter with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
